This book is the story of Matthew Lewis and is told by the character Mr. Pump. Mr. Pump takes you from the time Matty was born and diagnosed through his doctor's office visits and the surgery. Topics in the book include: different tests that your child might experience (such as EKG's, echocardiograms, etc.) as well as what to expect before and after surgery. It is strongly suggested that you review the book yourself first and then read and discuss it with your child. The book can have a positive influence on reducing your young one's fears. However, you know your child best and what he/she is able to comprehend and handle.
